Fire Workshop

Everything to do with fire – from lighting it to cooking!

  • Lighting a fire: from Stone Age and medieval techniques to high-tech methods

  • Firewood: distinguishing between different types of wood, finding dry wood, preparing it

  • Fire pits: types and techniques

  • Stoves: from wood-burning to gasoline stoves, learn about many different models

  • Cooking directly over the fire

  • Cooking on clay, steel, aluminum: various fire cooking options, types of pots, for on the go and at home

  • Cooking tools: which tools are useful

  • Safety instructions: for wood, gas, and gasoline stoves

  • Service: how to keep my stoves and pans in good condition, from cleaning to seasoning steel pans

  • ... and much more, depending on the participants' prior knowledge and wishes.

After more than 25 years of experience with fire, outdoor cooking, and wood gas stoves I developed myself, I would like to devote a whole day to this topic. A variety of stoves and cooking systems, with an emphasis on wood stoves, will be demonstrated and can be tried out.

This will help you to implement better and new insights on the go and at home.
