Fisher Space Pen
The space pen is probably the best-known pen of the twentieth century. In 1968, Paul C. Fisher developed a hermetically sealed gas pressure refill that prevents the ink from drying out. Both astronauts and cosmonauts used the Fisher ballpoint pen during their flights, as the patented refill also writes in space. It also works under water, overhead, on greasy surfaces, at -34° C to +143°. The gas pressure (3.5 bar) in the refill constantly presses the writing paste against the writing ball. This ensures a continuous flow of writing until the last drop.
